About Provisio Profiles

In this series, we will highlight several of our incredible team members. Get to know Provisio!

What do you do in your role at Provisio?

As a Senior Training Consultant, I help users learn their new Salesforce application.  Salesforce is a powerful tool, but training is needed to benefit from its functionality.  I assist the project teams and clients with planning training, delivering virtual and onsite training sessions, and providing documentation to help with learning.

Why are you passionate about Human Services?

Many moons ago, I was a pregnant teenager who needed guidance, support, and kindness.  I lived in a rural community with few resources but was fortunate to have family and friends who helped me. Years later, I became a volunteer for a Youth Service Center in the Chicagoland area with a state-funded program for pregnant teenagers that provided parenting classes, daycare, and transportation services.  I wanted to help our participants receive benefits, but most important to me was the human factor: the caring, empathy, and kindness of the community that provided the services. Many program participants didn’t have family support, so filling that gap as a volunteer while teaching parenting classes, babysitting, and providing transportation to school and doctor appointments was extremely rewarding.

I eventually became the Program Coordinator of the state initiative for the Youth Service Center.  I loved helping the young women get the resources and care they needed to provide a happy life for themselves and their families.  Making a direct impact on a person’s life was very satisfying.

What is your favorite Salesforce tip?

User education is at the forefront of the user adoption process. Misinformed users can derail an entire project, even before Training and Go Live. As with any new software solution, leaders should consider how to best get their employees on board and involved in the project from inception. From then on, ensuring users acquire the skills necessary to utilize the application successfully will drive long-term adoption.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I get to do something I love: help people and make a difference in their lives. I have over 35 years of experience in the training and development industry, supporting professional development journeys: from customer service to organizational change management and navigating Salesforce applications.

Learning about the many nonprofit organizations we work with and the people providing their services is inspirational.  I respect what they do and enjoy helping those on the front lines who improve lives.
