Why did you choose to work for Provisio?
I love leadership and mentoring, love Salesforce, and love using technology to make the world a better place by letting humans focus on what they do best. Provisio is solidly in line with my personal values and with what I want to do with my life, so once I met the leaders here, it was a no-brainer. Nonprofit and public organizations have amazing people working towards such aspirational goals, and if I can help serve these missions with my Salesforce knowledge, I consider that an honor and a privilege.
What do you do in your role at Provisio?
I’m proud to say that I have 11 direct reports – the most out of any leader at Provisio, but who’s counting? I’m honored to be the cheerleader, air cover, advocate, and overall support player for the technical geniuses and all-around amazing people that make up our solutions architecture and data analysis teams. I help oversee our technical solutions and ensure we are peer-reviewing and constantly improving our strategies and the code and configuration that goes into them. I work directly with customers on some of our projects, especially ones that have to do with complex integrations with medical record systems or other fun requirements. And, finally, I meet with other leaders at Provisio to make sure we’re aggressively turning our amazing company into an even more amazing one.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Definitely working with the fantastic people in the Provisio ecosystem. Our team brings such a unique amount of diverse perspectives to the table, and so much background knowledge in non-profit organizations. Our clients are taking on incredible tasks and truly making a giant difference in the lives of the people they serve. Our partners at Salesforce and other tech companies we partner with are talented, passionate individuals who see the bigger picture and are invested in constantly learning more and doing more good.
What is your favorite Salesforce feature?
Help text and descriptions! There are tons of flashy and beautiful features in Salesforce, but none are as helpful at explaining the intended functionality and guiding users to better understand the system. Please add help text to every field that isn’t crystal clear. Add descriptions to anything and everything you build!
Marjorie lives in Saint Louis, Missouri. She received her Master’s degree in English from Truman State University. Her responsibilities at Provisio Partners include content creation and technical writing.
