Describe Your Nonprofit Experience
I previously worked as a teacher at The Baby Fold. I worked in a self-contained classroom for children with developmental disabilities. It was a very rewarding and demanding job where I got my first sense of just how much good nonprofits do and how much support some of them need. I also worked at Esperanza Community Services as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP or Q). Here I worked with adults with developmental disabilities helping to manage both the day programs that they attended and the Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs or group homes) in which they lived.
Why did you choose to work for Provisio?
I know first hand the hardships that many human service/nonprofit organizations often face. In previous jobs, I often felt as though there was not enough time in the day. Working at Provisio allows me to help these amazing organizations and their incredible staff do more good and do so more efficiently and effectively.
What is your favorite Salesforce tool?
The power of one! It is the best Salesforce reporting tool out there that allows you to get a unique count of records.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The clients with whom we work and my coworkers are what I enjoy most about my job. I am always amazed by the dedication our clients have to their causes and the passion they have for their work. My coworkers at Provisio are no different as they are a dedicated group that genuinely cares about the work we do.
Marjorie lives in Saint Louis, Missouri. She received her Master’s degree in English from Truman State University. Her responsibilities at Provisio Partners include content creation and technical writing.
