Describe Your Military Experience
I spent 10 years as a Spanish linguist and analyst for the Department of Defense. The most rewarding experience during that time was the year I spent in Honduras, immersing myself in the culture and really getting to know the people. Fun/Scary fact: I was there during Hurricane Mitch, considered the deadliest Atlantic hurricane in the last 200 years! I helped fill sandbags before the storm and then traveled the country in the aftermath doing threat assessments and updating our Army Corp of Engineers on areas with critical needs, which was pretty much everywhere.
Why did you choose to work for Provisio?
The time in Honduras really opened my eyes to the struggles people face, so I wanted to work with health and human services organizations that support vulnerable members of their communities. I love the idea of combining my interest in technology with my passion for helping people.
What do you do in your role at Provisio?
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, I get to meet with new clients and help them to find Salesforce solutions that will streamline and improve their processes, ultimately allowing them to serve more people. I also provide demos so organizations can see the potential of a Salesforce implementation.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love building relationships with clients and creating true partnerships. Mentoring new teammates is also a rewarding part of my job because I get to help other Provisio employees pursue their goals and develop professionally.
Marjorie lives in Saint Louis, Missouri. She received her Master’s degree in English from Truman State University. Her responsibilities at Provisio Partners include content creation and technical writing.
